2018 and 2019 sales were generally consistent on a comparative basis but we have seen a shift in 2020 with sales increasing the2nd half of the year. The WuhanCOVID-19 Coronavirus has altered the purchasing pattern. The continued migration to Florida from high tax, cold weather states has accelerated due to the pandemic. Additionally, sellers have not been listing their properties for sale at the same rate as we have experienced in the past. The net result is inventory reducing to levels not seen in over 20 years. We can therefore expect our strong 2020 Closed Sales will dissipate throughout 2021 absent a dramatic increase in new sale listings.
We are in for a long period of increased demand and very limited inventory. Prices have been rapidly increasing. Great time to a seller.
